Aligned with the ASEAN Vision 2045 and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Strategic Plan 2026–2030, AIPRAP 2026-2030 aims to advance an effective, enterprising, and inclusive IP ecosystem that supports ASEAN’s transition towards a future-ready, innovation-driven economy. The new Action Plan builds on past achievements while responding to emerging trends such as digitalisation, the growing importance of intangible assets, and the need for more integrated regional cooperation.
AIPRAP 2026- 2030 is structured around five strategic measures focusing on: strengthening national IP regimes; advancing regional harmonisation and platforms; facilitating IP asset creation, management, and commercialization; fostering a culture of respect for IP and effective enforcement; and promoting the use of IP to support sustainable and inclusive growth. Key initiatives include digital transformation of IP offices, development of regional platforms, expansion of IP valuation and financing models, enhanced IP awareness and enforcement cooperation, and targeted support for MSMEs and under-represented innovators.
Through AIPRAP 2026-2030, ASEAN reaffirms its collective commitment to building a trusted, innovation-friendly, and people-centred IP ecosystem that enhances regional integration, competitiveness, and long-term economic resilience.
